Horton plains is a national park which is a 30km drive from the town of Nuwara Eliya in sri lanka. With the weather dropping to as low as 8 degrees this places gives you all the feels.

The Gal Oya national park is one of the only wildlife parks on the island that you can see elephants in their natural habitat on a boat safari. If you arent a fan of busy parks and just wanna enjoy nature at its finest. we highly recommend checking out this national park.

The Yala National Park is home to a lot more than the elusive leopard. The Kirinda temple is one such historic site which is just an half hours drive from the park.

Sri Lanka is an island with more waterfalls than you could visit in one lifetime. The three waterfalls we visited here in Mandaram Nuwara were really special as they ones only known to locals and hence are relatively empty majority of the time. pro tip : plan to head there on a week day to have the waterfall all to yourselves.

The Hanthana Range which is a 45 minute drive from Kandy is an ideal place for an epic hike in Sri Lanka. with splendid views of the mountains in the area and the city of Kandy. This is a great adventure for all you nature lovers

Note : the park can get very crowded with tourists who come to see the elusive leopard. when going on a safari remember that the park belongs to the animals and we are but jst visitors in their home.
